Starkey Ranch
Starkey Ranch
Starkey Ranch and the accompanying District Park is part of a +/-2,485-acre master-planned Pasco County community approved for 4,272 dwelling units. Heidt Design was responsible for the landscape architecture design of the District Park, located on S.R. 54 and adjacent to the 18,000-acre Jay B. Starkey Wilderness Preserve. This project is the result of a public-private partnership with Wheelock Communities, Pasco County Parks, and Pasco County Schools.
The Starkey Ranch District Park was one of the first projects in Pasco County to employ the Mixed Use Trip Reduction Measures (MUTRM) design approach and was awarded the 2016 master-planned Community of the Year by the National Association of Homebuilders (NAHB). Other accolades include the community being named the #1 Selling Master Plan Community in Tampa Bay by Real Estate Advisors.
