Cross Creek Boulevard

Cross Creek Boulevard Widening is the addition of two lanes for 2.3 miles from West Cory Lake Boulevard to Morris Bridge Road, creating a four-lane divided roadway from the current two-lane undivided roadway. The project utilizes ponds shared with adjacent residential developments to form a master stormwater system within the Clay Gully and Branchton Creek basins.

Michael Tucker is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida and has more than 27 years of civil engineering design experience. Michael's lengthy career developing, modeling, designing and permitting the stormwater management and master infrastructure systems for large-scale master planned communities has positioned him as the most experienced design professional in the Tampa Bay Area. His technical expertise is combined with unmatched practical constructability experience accumulated during the last two decades of implementing his engineering designs.

Hobbies/Interests/Fun Facts: Riding horses with my daughter and watching my sons play baseball.

With 11 years of experience from which to draw, Candice drafts and designs construction plans, details, and exhibits for a wide variety of civil engineering and land development projects. She also has drafting experience in structural, geotechnical, and environmental engineering and has worked with a variety of drafting and design software.

Hobbies/Interests: I love cats and softball. I enjoy playing co-ed softball with my husband, Kenny, and also watching him play with his men's team. I love spending time with him and with our families, which are both local to Tampa. I also love the Air Force! I have been in the Reserves for 5 years. My AF job is also in Civil Engineering. I love reporting each month and the 'organized chaos' that is the military and adore my military family. I intend to re-enlist to continue serving.

He performs utility research for new residential and commercial developments. Joe also creates utility as-built record drawings for completed residential and commercial developments.

Given her extensive drainage and infrastructure design background, Lara Bartholomew oversees various aspects of the site design process: storm water master planning, site grading, earthwork analysis, impaired water body load reduction, water, reclaimed and sewer systems, and permitting. With 20 years of experience, 13 of which have been in Florida, Lara has worked with both public and private clients to help solve their complicated drainage, infrastructure and site challenges by presenting cost effective solutions.

Hobbies/Interests: For the most part, I enjoy pretty much anything having to do with the water: SCUBA diving, SUP, going to the beach. I attend Broadway shows and hockey games regularly, and golf whenever I can find the time. One thing that never seems to make it to the top of the "to do list" is to learn to fly.

She also has performed cost estimates, created marketing books from Photoshop and InDesign, and can generate final construction plans. Rachel has experience in designing community entry areas, Zen gardens, picnic areas, splash zones, playgrounds, different forms of parks, pools, and amenity areas.

Rick has been with Heidt Design since 2012 and has over 10 years of years of Landscape Architecture experience. Rick works on various projects and community design projects providing landscape designs, unique hardscape designs, digital / hand graphics and construction documents. Rick has worked on numerous designs, providing impressive community monument signs, fountains, dog parks, playgrounds, swimming pool designs, amenity centers and beautiful hand renderings. Rick enjoys creating that "unique" project element that is truly special to each place and making it stand out among its surroundings.

Hobbies/Interests: I really enjoy spending time with my family and kids at the beach on the Sea Doo's. I enjoy anything on or near the water, boating, visiting new places and relaxing by the pool with frozen drink. During the week I spend most evenings assisting in coaching a seasonal youth sport such as softball, baseball, and flag football.

College: Attended Pennsylvania Institute of Technology & University of West Florida
Major: Computer Engineering Technology

With more than 30 years of experience in all aspects of engineering and design, including 15 years on Civil Engineering projects, Scott has worked on projects both small and large in scale, including Commercial sites, Offices, and Residential land development. He supports Heidt Design's Civil Engineers and Project Managers in creating Concept Site Plans, Geometry Plans, Grading Plans, Water/Sewer Utility Plans, Roadway Profiles and Cross Sections and general Civil Engineering Infrastructure Projects utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Hobbies/Interests/Fun Facts: I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my family.

Shelby Horton is a Florida Gulf Coast University Alumni and comes with over a years’ experience in administrative assisting. She supports Heidt Design’s project managers and completes operational requirements by scheduling appointments and expediting documents for approval. Some of Shelby’s other roles in supporting Heidt Design’s team is creating and revising reports and letters for distribution and answering phones and emails in regards to responding to questions and requests.

Hobbies/Interests/Fun Facts: Going to the beach, boating, sailing, volleyball.

Steve was an Engineering Inspector for 21 years in Prince William Co, VA before moving to Florida in 1997. He has worked for several local engineering firms and started with Heidt Design in October 2013.

Hobbies/Interests/Fun Facts: Wrenching and riding motorcycles, boating, and shooting.
